Degraded Network Performance - 22.09
Sat, Sep 22nd 2018, 16:38 UTC

Start: Sat, Sep 22nd 2018, 16:00 UTC

Dear Customer,

Due to growth and expansion of the services offered in the past month, we had to increase capacity to scale with demand. At the very moment, degraded network performance and packet loss can be observed, caused by massive saturation of our backbone, especially affecting the US. We are proactively working on this issue and trying to move traffic off to local paths and increase capacity on our rings by utilizing more lenient load sharing. This message should notify you that our NOC is fully aware of the issue and we anticipate a resolution very soon.

Update: We are increasing capacity on our backbone rings and we've already turned up additional waves to handle the traffic. At this time, latency has returned back to normal and packet loss has stopped. Traffic may still be slightly detoured for load sharing, however, this will be resolved in the next days. No service degradation is anticipated further, decreased throughput may be observed though.

Services affected: All services.
